Tell that to the people in Europe, South America, Japan and others. We are losing millions of dollars here in Texas because of some irrational horse huggers.

However you feel, here’s some information to make you a more informed voter, regarding the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act (EESA), passed this week by the Senate (10.1) and House (10.3), and signed into law on Oct 3, 2008, by Pres. Bush.
“We can’t move too fast.” “It won’t solve anything quickly.” “We’ll have to hire Wall Street as asset managers, but we expect for less than their typical 1% assets-under-management fees.”
There is a big scam going on TV right now with these commercials for new products. They give you all these options for free this and that and all you have to pay is shipping and processing on each item. My first thought when I called on one was “cant you put them all in one box” The gal said no and they each had to be “shipped and processes separately. So basically each “free” item wound up costing $25 each. I hung up the phone.
OK, I’m not sorry. You rail against pretty much every single person here whenever you feel like it, and you post pics of schlongs.
You started all this shit in the first place then you expect everyone to kiss your ass after you play the “kid card”. You’re no better than Obama crying foul and racism while he’s having dinner with Rev. Wright.
You can take your self-righteousness and stick it up your ass as far as I’m concerned.
34, Haymouse’s period ended?
Bet he’s feeling better, I hope that Retreads ends soon also. I hate when he and Smacker get into a cat fight, brings down the whole blog.
Jimmy Carter (D) instigated “affirmative action” banking laws through the Community Reinvestment Act, that forced banks to lend to uncreditworthy borrowers.
Bill Clinton (D) increased affirmative action banking by changing the rules the required lenders to make questionable loans.
Banks who refused were publicly called racists, harassed by government agencies and were given a “CRA rating” that graded their diversity.
Barack Obama (D) in connection to ACORN (VOTING FRAUD) Sued Citibank under “CRA” to force it to make bad loans. He even said subprime loans started out as a good idea to give loans to people who couldn’t afford. LOANS PEOPLE CAN’T AFFORD?? A GOOD IDEA??
And we have DODDS (D) FRANKS (D) PELOSI (D) and other DEMOCRATS who countinuously blocked attempts by BUSH (R) in 2003 and others (McCain) to overhaul the housing finance industry.
My lovely ST #32 just give me a shout. We can go together and stuff his ass in a garbage can as a team. Then we’ll toast to a job well done.
Great pic. Screw ops.
I have an apology for ya’ll for thinking our government has been highjacked by a criminal gang and rambling about it. I realize it is more comfortable to live in fantasy land. Sorry, go about your business.
1 lb OPS. Cut off bruised parts and slice him paper thin.
1/2 t Pepper
1 t Onion powder
1/2 t Garlic salt
3 T Soy sauce +1 t
5 T Worcestershire sauce
cayenne or cracked pepper opt.
Trim all fat off of of OPS.
Mix other ingredients together.
Marinate OPS overnight in the mixture.
Remove him from marinade and pat OPS between towels. Sprinkle with cayenne or cracked pepper.
Line cookie sheet with foil and arrange OPS on it in a single layer.
Dry OPS for 8 or more hours at 200~, turning after 6 hours.
Cool OPS and store him in a tightly covered jar or sealed in plastic bag.
Youre and old miserable fool. You wanna get lunch? I’ll be passing through little mexico around 1pm. We can discuss the virtues of this man that loves cats and how much of a faggot I am.
A Futile Bailout as Darkness Falls on America
By PAUL CRAIG ROBERTS
America has become a pretty discouraging place. Americans, for the most part, will never know what happened to them, because they no longer have a free and responsible press. They have Big Brother’s press. For example, on September 28, 2008, a New York Times editorial blamed the current financial crisis on “antiregulation disciples of the Reagan Revolution.”
According to statistician John Williams [ http://www.shadowstats.com/section/commentaries ] who measures inflation, unemployment, and GDP according to the methodology used prior to the Clinton regime’s corruption of these measures, the US unemployment rate is currently at 14.7 per cent and the inflation rate is 13.2 per cent. Consequently, real US GDP growth in the 21st century has been negative.
42 Shaker you write negative comments like that about the great holy church and then wonder why you have such bad luck. Your only option is to clean your soul and correct your sins by placing $1,000 cash and depositing ii in the collection basket on Sunday.
Oh, and don’t forget to say 5 Hail Mary’s while down on your knees.
Fuck being called “Gloom and Doomers”. Guys like me and dowjones0k were realists and saw it coming. I’m not faulting anyone else for not seeing how serious this credit crisis really was, because most people, even experts, didn’t expect it to be this bad.
But why can’t you people ever give some fucking credit where credit is due (no pun intended) when someone is right, instead of belittling them to make yourself feel better?
We can discuss the virtues of this man that loves cats and how much of a faggot I am.
Simmer down, shuuug. Rocket can even take care of your “light work”. All I hafta do is place a rug blanket over OPS’ legs. He seems to like beating up rugs blankets.
Yeah. The Pope said money is evil. Let’s look at the words to find out:
we see that money disappears, is nothing and all these things that appear real are in fact of secondary importance
Or maybe he didn’t, huh?
Does the fact that the Catholic Church is sitting on a pile of money change the fact that money can and will disappear, and is essentially of no consequence in the long (eternal) run?
ReFirestoned, if you truly “saw it coming” you would have positioned yourself to fully capitalize on it and would be making your plans to really retire and just manage your new found wealth. Is that the case?
The gloom is gonna get much worse! Its like knocking down dominoes. The credit caerd mess is not even being discussed yet. Americans for atleast a decade really had nothing then with gas, food, utitilites going thru the roof many people stopped paying on the cc’s. The fun is just starting. Wait till the hyper inflation kicks in due to the bailout.
PAIN!
Reed
It doesnt matter what the doom and gloomers want. It is coming! Embrace it. The doom and gloomers did not cause this. Look no further than voting for the lesser of two evils. These jerkoffs in DC should have been sent packing long ago.
Just a week ago, the energy retailer cut its profit forecast and said had to raise $1 billion because of damage from Hurricane Ike and a new credit arrangement.
Hmmmm….Thank goodness I have Lousiana power that wasn’t de-regulated and have a fixed rate. Isn’t it amazing that Reliant/Centerpoint (formerly HL&P) is the only power company in Texas, has the highest prices, rents their power to other power companies at lower rates? Where’s the competition? The rest of my comment is self deleted.
74 maybe I should cover my ass and purchase two more generators in case the electric goes out, again.
So maybe things ain’t to bad for everyone? The dollar is going up and oil is going down, so if you do not have money in the market maybe your looking good.
ineptus erectus, are you the guy I saw the other day driving a pickup with a cat on your lap?
The truck had a rainbow sticker on the rear window, two on the tailgate and one on the bumper….a shining example of Gay Pride.
ReFrirestoned, the point was - the credit crisis exists right where it should be, but bleeding hearts and community organizers won’t let that happen because its economic racism.
I’m almost completely out of debt. By year’s end, with any luck and a little grace of God thrown in, I will be done. I still need to work on the investment/retirement side of my financial picture, so’s I will still have work to do, but I’m not planning on contributing to America’s debt crisis anytime soon.
The credit card companies can F off. The only things I EVER intend to purchase ever again on credit will be an auto or a home.
Oh, and retread? At the very least, you want to be able to say “I told you so” about your prognostications of doom.
And you only ever predicted a downturn in fairly general terms, certainly not the chain of events as they’re unfolding now.
LOL! I sent the SMF Obama link to my liberal daughter in law (studying to be a Civil Rights attorney) link and here is her response. he he he!!) I still love her!!!
While using children for political gain is tacky, I in no way condone you or anyone comparing Obama to Hitler. Only because school children have sang for both? Let’s not be ridiculous. Hitler was responsible for the near genocide of almost 10 million people, 6 of which were Jews. If you believe in teaching creationism, or praying in the classroom, you are supporting your own type of indoctrination of our children. Like I said, it was tacky, but HITLER? I think this video is doing a disservice to Americans, to say anyone were to actually elect someone comparable to Hitler. In fact, I can forward you a paper I wrote last semester comparing Bush to Hitler, and I assure you, the similarities are frightening. Let’s stop using his middle name to “scare” people, let’s stop using his race against him and let’s start looking at the issues. I can respect a person who will disagree with his issues and not vote for him, but not a person who will repeatedly use his middle name, race and political tactics (McCain SLANDERS with out right lies constantly by the way). If you feel McCain (which I know you will vote for neither) but if you feel McCain will make a better president, you need to look at self loathing (woman hating) Sarah Palin who will most likely be our next president. Obama is bringing America forward, taking away the power the disgusting Corporations have and to be honest, none of us make enough money to be a Republican these days. The “moralities” Republicans hide behind appeal to a certain crowd, and I won’t call them educated and if they are, they are making well above 250,000 a year.
I love you, but I’ll accept what you have to say when it becomes about the issues, not some tacky political tactic that ignoramuses are linking to Hitler. It’s offensive.
She’s my grandbabies mama!!! /but she likes to eat roadkill and wild game.
Excuse me peoples, to those of you claim they are out of debt or have very little:
Did you read the news? As of last week you have assumed everybody else’s debt thanks to your elected reps, and theres more to come. So do not smile, all your hard work and sacrifice has resulted in zero.
Thats why my finger always points back at the regurgitated lumps of shit in DC.
They just gave away the store. Wait for inflation etc to kick in. Ohh ohh Obama wants to raise taxes…yeah ya freaking bozos and the GOP is steadfast at spending the future.
#77, it has been proven again and again, when the government lowers taxes on both individuals and business, the amount of money flowing through the treasury increases. Read the article, even back as early as the 1980’s there were democrats who were supporting lower corporate taxes on the Oil companies, as well as ALL business.
My question to you is will we be better off if your personal income tax increases, and corporate taxes increase? Be honest in your answer (that is if you can). Also do not ask who is going to pay for this or that. That should not be the questions being asked in DC right now. They need to be asking themselves, what do we need to do to ensure that the economy does not crash. And no we have not crashed yet, but we are on a downward slide that can either be a smooth bottom or we could fall off a cliff.
Which candidate do you think will lead us to which conclusion?
bwel,
there is only one problem with that theory. Its that it is a theory. When the gov makes a budget, it has to be black and white. Static. What is expected to come in based on income and what goes out based on what needs to be spent. Thats why Dems want tax revenue set on income. Thats how they know what to spend.
When you lower taxes, yes income to the treasury rises but that is a blind number.
In your family budget, you cant say, well I give this much to the church and god will make sure I have enough money to pay bills. Even though it seems money comes in when you need it.
I think there should be a national sales tax. That way we can decide what we want to pay and everyone from the hooker, drug dealer to wall street king. Although thats dynamic too. People will develop an underground cash economy which will lower revenue.
Al, do you want a good one that will last or just a one nighter?
Anyone see the Lehman Bros CEO testifying before Congress? Wow, this guy really instilled confidence in me. These guys were nothing more than empty suits dividing up billions of dollars amongst themselves.
And as usual, he is kissing the ass of the congressmen who are doing the questioning making sure not to offend them. Fuck them, start naming names you fuckers!!!
There are debt consolidators and then there is our Congress who is now in the new business of debt distribution.
Can I deduct the interest on those other mortgages that I am paying for? I read that Congress is even forgiving the income tax that a person would usually have to pay on the amount that is written-off.
DEBT RULES!
With debt you can get a guaranteed return on your dollar.
Tryng to avoid the news today and tomorrow. (So if something news worthy happens someone please tell me.) Have a feeling tomorrow’s debate is going to be a nasty blood bath. It’s time to get mean and land some heavy hitting blows and they know it.
Only one more debate after tomorrow’s. This has been the longest, pain in the ass election ever. And no matter who wins, it’s going to be 4 more years of bitching.
Why dont they just get rid of the stock market and every one find something else to do? WTF, all I see is guys and gals screaming at some guy giving him him hand signals then going ape shit. WTF kind of system is that to base a country’s economic future on?
A future crisis?
Because of the bad economy the Government will be providing assistance to low income people this winter to pay for their heating coasts.
So you will be paying someone elses mortgage and utility bill, and soon their vehicle notes and credit card debts.
121 Reed you will not receive a monthly statement but your debt load did increased last week as a result of the Federal Governments Debt Redistribution Program.
122 understood, but that’s a situation I’ve got no control over at this point. That cow has already left the barn. All I can do is to get a handle on what I CAN get a handle on, and move forward.
127 you would be better off as a contractor, much more options on protecting your income and reducing your tax burden. Plus a boatload of deductions you do not have as an employee.
Employees will get screwed much worse under the conditions we seem to be headed into.
This election is about the economy. It started out being about Iraq, but no one knew the bottom would fall out of the economy, which McCain doesn’t want to discuss. (McCain might have had a chance if the #1 issue stayed w/ Iraq - no more.) Right or wrong, voters associate him with Bush and the Repub’s drunken sailor spending policies of the past 8+ years when there was a Repub prez and Repub majority Congress and Senate.
I watched it closely back then. Everything was rubber stamped and the Dems were treated as the red headed step child who had to meet in the basement. (Literally.) For many years they had no voice and were merely tolerated or ridiculed. (Go back and look at the LST archives for that period.) The Repubs had all the power, they got too cocky and they screwed it up. They get what they deserve.
#132 Or maybe she will think her husband is a kind and sensitive man capable of appreciating a tiny and vulnerable creature of God.
For many years they had no voice and were merely tolerated or ridiculed.
That is the biggest load of shit.
There hasn’t been a period in my lifetime that the Democrats haven’t had easy access to the media anytime they wanted it.
They get what they deserve.
We may agree on this one, but for different reasons.
****************
Com’on Liz. You were going to vote Democrat this time no matter what. And probably always will. There is no crime in that. Just admit you’re a liberal and be done with it. You’ll feel better.
McCain might have had a chance if the #1 issue stayed w/ Iraq - no more.
That is diametrically opposite to what you’ve been peddling for the last two years, that the Republicans were going to lose big because of Iraq. Now that McCain’s support of the successful surge put that issue to rest its now all about the economy? LOL!
Btw, it definitely is all about the economy and right or wrong that will hurt McCain even though the mortgage crisis is undeniably and totally the fault of congressional Democrats. Too bad the Republicans sold out on the bailout. It wouldn’t have helped them but at least they’d have had the moral high ground.
For many years they had no voice and were merely tolerated or ridiculed.
You apparently weren’t paying attention when conservatives were up in arms because Bush and the newly elected Republican majority continued to bend over backwards to accommodate the Dems. They actually changed many rules in the House to include Dems—unlike the previous forty years when the Dems conmpletely excluded the Republicans. The Republicans stupidly thought if they acted like statesmen, the Dems would appreciate or care or actually try to help solve some of the huge problems that needed to be attended to.
I am not trying to insult you, but you don’t know what you are talking about. You are ignorant of the history of the last 20 years.
PoutingShaker, blog means never having to say you’re sorry - even if we tee-teed on your Post Toasties!
Shaker - the One True Seer, just like a boiler room pitch man who calls up 500 people and tells them a stock is going up. Then calls 500 different people and tells them the stock is going down. Waits a few weeks, sees which way the stock actually goes and calls the appropriate 500 folks back and sells them on his predicting prowess.
I know you were a Gloom and Doomer before you were against it.
Poop called 10,200 and was pretty damn close on the timetable. Shaker called ??????
The Repubs had all the power, they got too cocky and they screwed it up. They get what they deserve.
No, we get what we deserve. To say this is a Rep/ Dem problem only keeps us divided. This is OUR problem and we better get to work. All this bullshit about us/ them is getting really old with me. THIS IS OUR PROBLEM. Pointing fingers doesn’t make a difference.
#136 I’m not talking about the MSM. I’m talking about the daily live coverage of proceedings in the House and Senate on C-Span with -0- journalistic interference. Dems might as well have stayed home - they had no voice.
#137 Had there not been a verifiable and measurable reduction in violence after the surge and had McCain continued the “stay the course” mentality, he would not have had a chance either.
Hey Shakey, if it irritates you that much, I’ll quit posting on your blog. I’ll regain my civility and go back to LST, no problemo. No skin off my fore, almost all(except Poop) who post here also post over there. It just won’t be as much fun. Adios Mofo.
You are as much an apologist for Democrats as some are for Republicans. At least the Republican apologists know that Democrats have enjoyed a majority in Congress for almost three years now. You seem to not understand that reality. If you’re a liberal that’s your business, but quit trying to present yourself as something different.
Had there not been a verifiable and measurable reduction in violence after the surge and had McCain continued the “stay the course” mentality, he would not have had a chance either.
Had Obama continued his association with Jeremiah Wright and had he not acknowledged the success of the surge he would not have stood a chance either. If a frog had wings…
Fiscally conservative Republicans are not extinct. There just aren’t enough of them to have defeated the bailout.
That isn’t the argument though Liz. The statement you made was:
Right or wrong, voters associate him with Bush and the Repub’s drunken sailor spending policies of the past 8+ years when there was a Repub prez and Repub majority Congress and Senate.
That is factually inaccurate. The Democrats have enjoyed a majority in Congress for almost three years now. There’s no argument to be had there. You are simply wrong and don’t want to admit it.
#158 As I have said for years, I am neither a Republican nor Democrat and I’ve never claimed to be a political historian. For the past 8 years I have been a serious observer.
Maybe that’s not good enough for some people to think I am worthy to have an opinion, but I assure you, there are more voters like me than not.
Stock Market is falling like brick.
Do the right thing, drop the party loyalty and vote for the candidate who promises to bring to task all those responsible for this financial predicment.
If none of the cadidate address this I am going to waste my vote.
I am going to vote Ralph Nader EVEN though he is not on the ballot.
This will atleast give me the satisfaction of taking revenge in my own way.
If you want to be a serious voter here’s what you do. First download this sample ballot and print it out. Then go here and determine which races you will be eligible to vote in based on your district #, etc. Then go here and research the voting record of the candidates you are eligible to vote for or against. That only addresses Congressional candidates though, so once you make it through all of that and determine which Congressional candidate(s) best represent you then move on to the other races such as judge, etc.
It’s a lot of work but serious voters shouldn’t vote based on raw emotion. That, of course, is my opinion and not a fact. You are entitled to vote for whoever you think is the least mean to the opposing party or who looks best in a pink shirt. I’d say it makes me no difference but that would be a lie. Voting makes a lot of difference to everyone.
No matter who you vote for things will be the same as they always have been.
Some days will make you feel good some days bad but things will always be the same.
The 2 presidential candidates promised it will be a different political campaign this time around.
Whoever has the ability to throw mud at the other will win the day.
Qualifications? What qualifications?
Last time I checked they were flying out of the window!
Ceo of Lehman brothers walked away with $500 million, while the other guy whose named escaped me pocketed $18 million who was with the company only for 3 bloomi’n weeks.
We are all left holding the bag which does not contain even one single quarter.

I started a joke, which started the whole world crying,
But I didnt see that the joke was on me, oh no.
I started to cry, which started the whole world laughing,
Oh, if I’d only seen that the joke was on me.
I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes,
And I fell out of bed, hurting my head from things that I’d said.
Til I finally died, which started the whole world living,
Oh, if I’d only seen that the joke was on me.
I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes,

And the first purchase of securities will not likely happen until after Election Day. Read this:

Are we clear? I hope so.

The American people aren’t losing Jack Schitt from the horse slaughter people anymore. Less horses are being stolen.
The slaughter houses were owned by Belgian Companies and hired illegals, so what was your point again?

off another board
A GOOD IDEA??
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FewmvkaTX...
And we have DODDS (D) FRANKS (D) PELOSI (D) and other DEMOCRATS who countinuously blocked attempts by BUSH (R) in 2003 and others (McCain) to overhaul the housing finance industry.

Pelosi (D) did nothing and blamed it all on bush.

Wait till the hyper inflation kicks in due to the bailout.

Monday, 6. October 2008
Monday, 6. October 2008
bwel,
there is only one problem with that theory.
Monday, 6. October 2008

Monday, 6. October 2008
There are debt consolidators and then there is our Congress who is now in the new business of debt distribution.
Can I deduct the interest on those other mortgages that I am paying for? I read that Congress is even forgiving the income tax that a person would usually have to pay on the amount that is written-off.
DEBT RULES!

We may agree on this one, but for different reasons.
****************
Com’on Liz. You were going to vote Democrat this time no matter what. And probably always will. There is no crime in that. Just admit you’re a liberal and be done with it. You’ll feel better.
Monday, 6. October 2008
Monday, 6. October 2008

Smacktle, no horses please unless they are on the BBQ grill.

What’s wrong with a good picture of a big schlong, I’ll model for it if need be.

Monday, 6. October 2008
Hey Shakey, if it irritates you that much, I’ll quit posting on your blog. I’ll regain my civility and go back to LST, no problemo. No skin off my fore, almost all(except Poop) who post here also post over there. It just won’t be as much fun. Adios Mofo.
Monday, 6. October 2008
Shaker you need to get out of that house of females and play some golf, let’s go I’ll drive the cart.

It has nothing to do with any individual.
My blogging vindications are all complete, there is nothing left to accomplish.
I am completely focused on making money.
Monday, 6. October 2008
Liz,
You are as much an apologist for Democrats as some are for Republicans. At least the Republican apologists know that Democrats have enjoyed a majority in Congress for almost three years now. You seem to not understand that reality. If you’re a liberal that’s your business, but quit trying to present yourself as something different.
Monday, 6. October 2008
I don’t know why we are arguing about Conservative Republicans in D.C. They are extinct.

#157 Retried
If you were completely focused on making money you wouldn’t be posting here at all.
Maybe all of us need to do you a favor and stop posting here. The distraction is too much for you.
Monday, 6. October 2008
Had Obama continued his association with Jeremiah Wright and had he not acknowledged the success of the surge he would not have stood a chance either. If a frog had wings…
Monday, 6. October 2008
#157 - Git you some new vindications, then.
I predict the Rays will sweep the Red Sox for the American League championship. I will be vindicated! And…I blame Ozzie Guillen.
Monday, 6. October 2008
Fiscally conservative Republicans are not extinct. There just aren’t enough of them to have defeated the bailout.
That isn’t the argument though Liz. The statement you made was:
That is factually inaccurate. The Democrats have enjoyed a majority in Congress for almost three years now. There’s no argument to be had there. You are simply wrong and don’t want to admit it.
Monday, 6. October 2008
Monday, 6. October 2008
” I am completely focused on making money. ”
do ya need a set of eye glasses?

Monday, 6. October 2008
Apparently not. You are certainly entitled to whatever opinions you hold. But you are not entitled to your own special set of “facts”.
Fact: Democrats have controlled Congress since the 2006 election.
Opinion: Republicans have been harder on a Democrat minority than Democrats have been on a Republican minority.

Monday, 6. October 2008
