Long day. We had a tea party town hall tonight. More folks keep showing up. But some one has to stay and clean up afterwards. It is not surprising that Bannie continues to blame the Dems in Texas for the failures of Perry and the Republicans in Texas to get things done. Let me try to explain it to ya Bannie, it is simple and unfortunately what the Republicans fail at, is called leadership. Say what you want about the policies and beliefs of the Liberal Democrats but one thing you cannot honestly deny is they have leadership to push for the legislation they want. They promote it better, they sell it better, and they constantly beat the shit out of the Republicans all the time in the public relations game. WHY??
Because the Republicans fail at leadership, they fail at promoting their issues, and they fail at selling their issues. They always whine about how great Reagan was at selling the issue to the American people, how great he was at using his position to whip up the American people and using them to force through legislation and put pressure on Congress. Well why are the current Republicans failing to follow Reagan’s example? I think because the Republicans have decided it is better to do nothing productive and instead allow the Democrats to continue pushing their agenda and then use it to run against them while providing no alternatives but empty promises combined with the use of divide and conquer to keep their sheeple under control and on the reservation.
I know I am correct, you and others like some at LST are perfect examples that the Republicans know their method continues to fool many people and continues to produce the results they want, keeping your blind support.
And they also fail at following through on what they claim is one of their core values, law and order, and that failure is on display everyday by the Republicans failure to control the Texas border.
So Bannie you and others can continue to claim it is all the Democrats fault, you and others like some at LST can continue to blame Obama for a slow economy and every other little thing that is wrong, but the truth is the Republicans share in that failure and the Republicans are also hard at work screwing the American people. I don’t buy into that bullshit anymore, haven’t eaten that fowl crap for years, I and so many others have opened our eyes and freed ourselves from the bondage of hatred and arrogance that both political parties use to keep their blind sheeple under control. And I believe those who continue to be held in mental slavery and blind ignorance by the party bullshit are in the minority and the majority is waking up and disgusted by the bullshit. Maybe.
When we stop seeing each other through the prism of labels, ie liberal, conservative, democrat, republican, only then will we start walking down the path to real solutions for our country and our future. Until then I say fuck them all, I am tired of dealing with those who chose ignorance, separation, and denial as a solution.

The response has been outstanding and, quite frankly, overwhelming.
This should be an historic, day — one for the record books and photo albums.
As with any large crowd event, logistics are vital. We want to make sure your time is enjoyable and as easy-going as one can have in this world we live in today. As well as getting you home for the Big Game.
Due to the enthusiastic response and to ensure every one has a chance to see Governor Palin, Ted Nugent, Governor Perry and others, they have agreed to have two events at the Berry complex, and both will be simulcast together.
The Berry Complex in Cyprus, TX can accommodate thousands of folks, and with our two venues, everyone who registered can be comfortably accommodated. There are a limited number of tickets still available, so please encourage your friends and family to register at http://www.rickperry.org/sarah.
The Berry Center holds a huge church service each Sunday morning which, necessarily limits the ability to open the doors to the event until 1:30pm. Everyone will be able to pick up tickets at the will call tent. Will call will be alphabetical, so bring an id. Your guests’ tickets will be under their own name, not under the name of who registered the guest, and you can pick up your tickets starting at Noon. But remember doors won’t open until 1:30pm.
One session will be held in the arena and the other in the stadium, which is outdoors. The weather will be in the low 60’s, mostly sunny and dry. Dress appropriately.
Speaking of dress this is a rally–so jeans and boots casual, be comfortable.
Now due to the environment we all live in today. This is a private event. No trespassing is allowed, it is for Perry supporters. No signs, sticks, or glass bottles or cans allowed. Please bring your cameras, cell phones, and PDA’s, your voices, your enthusiasm, your patience and your conservative spirit. This is going to be a liberty-lovin’, freedom-singin’, blow the doors down, good ole’ fashioned rally. We are excited to see you this Sunday.

shannon awhile back we were talking about beds. i mentioned i had a sleep number. you mentioned they were built flimsy you thought.
i have a nephew who weighs about 350 lbs. (linebacker aggie type) he has had the bed for 5 years and no problems. the bed has a 20 year pro rated warranty (if they stay in biz like all the rest of these companies).
so far i have had the bed about 6 months and like it a lot. it is very light in weight so once in awhile it does seem to move or shift on the box springs or foundation system and i believe it is because of the up down and or vibrate functions that having the twin xl’s as a king versus a true king. that would be my only complaint.
i had a slight back ache once in awhile prior to this mattress - it has never appeared after i bought this mattress. hope this helps.

Hammie tipped me off to a bed called Dormia, which I’m going to check out. Same as Tempur-pedic but much more affordable.
I do have one question. Isn’t making the bed a real pain in the ass when the King is comprised of two smaller top pieces? Wrestling with installing the fitted bottom sheets on the two pieces might be difficult for someone physically impaired.

Portugal’s Communists have united with other opposition parties to defeat a government austerity plan.
The Socialist administration has pledged to bring the country’s deficit - which is expected to hit 9.3 per cent of gross domestic product - to below the 3 per cent limit for euro-zone countries.
It cobbled together a Bill that sought to achieve this by cutting government jobs, freezing civil servants’ pay and curbing other public spending.
But the Communist Party and the Left Bloc accused the minority Socialist government of prioritising deficit reduction over economic development.
The two organisations, which have a combined 29 seats in the 230-seat legislature, used their clout to knock back the plan - and helped to pass a separate Bill that lets the country’s autonomous regions borrow more to fund stimulus measures.
The government had fiercely opposed this Bill, arguing that it contradicted earlier promises to the EU to crack down on ballooning debt.
Yet the Bill passed 127 to 87, indicating that MPs recognise that the citizens they represent are opposed to the socially regressive austerity measures that the EU and US-dominated international financiers have foisted on Greece and Ireland.
On Friday, some 30,000 civil servants marched through central Lisbon to protest against a public-sector pay freeze, and unions warned that they would also organise a series of strikes in defence of working-class living standards.
Despite the setback, the government has shown no intention of changing course.
Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Jorge Lacao described the opposition Bill as “irresponsible,” saying that it sent “an extremely negative signal” to international speculators.
